Rab's Expedition Modular Boots are probably the warmest pieces of footwear you'll ever slip on! They're designed for the coldest basecamp and bivi use and feature a water resistant outer with a hydrophobic down filling.

The outer fabric on these boots is Pertex Endurance. This is one of the best fabrics to ensure complete windproofing, a high level of water resistance and to be packable enough to stuff into the bottom of a pack.

It's one of the lightest, most reliable and durable fabrics available and is commonly used throughout insulated garments as it provides a lightweight barrier which also packs up to a small size. This fabric is also stitched incredibly densely, trapping more warm air inside and decreasing the liklihood of the down escaping over time.

Providing the warmth in these toasty boots is 128g of super high quality 800 fill power hydrophobic goose down. This is then treated with a Nikwax coating to allow less water to soak into the down if the boots happen to get wet.

The clever part of these boots is the removable footbed. Sounds pretty ordinary, however the footbed on these boots is on the outside! This means you can detach the footbed for use around your tent, then re-attach for use outside.
